Description
This lovely wooden (armature) statue of St. Joseph originates in Mexico late XVIII to early XIX centuries.
The figures all have glass eyes and are very delicately hand-carved and painted.
These armature santos were dressed in different robes according to the religious festivites.
The small santos were mainly placed in home altars.
