Description
A handsome mid 19th century French ormolu, gilded bronze mantle clock done in the style of Louis the XVI.
Its face has been embellished with a porcelain mounted into a gilded bronze frame and signed by STruxiano/Toulouse.
The name on the face could be very well of the bronzier, retailer or the movement maker, which was often the case in the 19th Century.
The clock also has etched on th bottom right the letters: Barridicluis, which could be from the mold maker.
The mechanism is original.
